{"id":247,"date":"2016-10-17T18:04:58","date_gmt":"2016-10-17T23:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parentfunction.net\/blog\/?p=247"},"modified":"2016-10-17T18:04:58","modified_gmt":"2016-10-17T23:04:58","slug":"breakout-edu-with-the-ti-nspire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.parentfunction.net\/blog\/2016\/10\/17\/breakout-edu-with-the-ti-nspire\/","title":{"rendered":"Breakout EDU with the TI-Nspire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In March, I will be presenting &#8220;Breakout EDU with the TI-Nspire&#8221; at the <a href=\"https:\/\/education.ti.com\/en\/us\/professional-development\/t3ic\/overview\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Instruments International Conference<\/a> in Chicago, IL.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breakoutedu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Breakout EDU<\/a> brings the escape room experience to the classroom by creating ultra-engaging learning games for people of all ages. Games (Breakouts) teach teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting by presenting participants with challenges that ignite their natural drive to problem-solve. Participants will use the features of the TI-Nspire, including geometry tools, regressions, matrices, and sliders, to complete a series of challenges, reveal clues, and unlock mysteries in order to win the game.
